ReadySeal Surface Primer

DESCRIPTION
ReadySeal Surface Primer is a specially formulated low viscosity fast drying primer engineered to facilitate overlap joints on partially cured ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. It is also used for full priming of cured ReadySeal prior to repairing any damage or applying a surface finish. 

Only required if the existing ReadySeal has been installed and allowed to cure for more than 9 hours, and needs to be overcoated.

APPLICATION
For Overlap preparation
• Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. 

• Ensure the surface of the ReadySeal is clean, dry and free from residues, dust, grease, dirt, moss etc. 

• Wipe an area a minimum of 100mm wide with ReadySeal Pre-Wipe in accordance with the instructions provided. Allow to evaporate. 

• Apply an even coat of ReadySeal Surface Primer using a brush or roller apply at a rate of 12.5g per linear metre, covering a 100 mm wide strip measured from the edge of the existing ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. 

• Allow to dry for a few minutes until the surface is tacky. 

• Once tacky immediately apply the next layer of ReadySeal, covering the entire width of the primed area, and continue installing the ReadySeal in accordance with the specification. 

• Overcoating with ReadySeal must take place within 30 minutes to stop dust pick up on tacky surface. 

• Do not prime an area greater than can be covered within 30 minutes. 

For Overcoating
• Follow the instruction as above, using a coverage rate of 1000g per 8 m2. 

Limitations
• Do not apply if rain is expected within 6 hours. 

• Do not apply during rain or frost and when surface air temperature is <5ºc. 

• The surface must be clean and dry to touch. 

Coverage
Up to 14m² per litre depending method of application. 

 

ReadySeal 2 part component blocker Primer

ReadySeal Blocker Primer

DESCRIPTION
ReadySeal Blocker Primer is a two-component primer that creates a barrier preventing bitumen oils from bleeding through into ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane, preventing discolouration and adhesion loss when overlaying new or old bitumen membranes.

ReadySeal Blocker Primer is also suitable for use as a primer for new or old PVC Single Ply Membranes, dry and partially cured concrete, steel, aluminium and lead.

Designed as a two-coat application when used as a bitumen blocker. All other applications may be suitable for single coat application depending on condition.

Uses:
• To prevent bleed the bleed through of the oils in Reinforced bitumen Membranes/Bitumen coatings. 

• To create a key when overlaying PVC Single Ply Membranes

• To create a key to steel, aluminum and lead.

• To eliminate the risk of pin holing in ReadySeal when applying over damp concrete.

APPLICATION
Always test the primer and top coat fully before proceeding. If the test results are satisfactory proceed to apply to the whole area.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any contaminants including dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae and efflorescence. The product is moisture tolerant when used on concrete. 

Add part ‘B’ to Part ‘A’ using a jiffy mixer blade attached to a slow running electric drill. DO NOT mix by hand as this can lead to areas of uncured material. Once mixed the product MUST be used within 40 – 50 minutes @ 20ºC.

Transfer mixed product to a roller tray and apply evenly to the surface using a medium-pile simulated sheepskin roller. brush or squeegee. Apply at a rate of approximately 4m² / kg (at 200 microns thickness coating weight coverage will vary according to the texture, porosity and evenness of the surface). 

When used as a Bitumen Blocker/Primer
Allow the first coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying a second coat. Allow the second coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying the ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. Two coats must be applied to ensure the performance stated is met.

When used in all other stated applications
Allow the first coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying the ReadySeal.

ReadySeal Blocker Primer MUST be overlaid no later than 24 hours after application and should not be applied below 5ºC.

Cleaning of Equipment:
Remove as much product as possible before cleaning. Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with suitable solvents such as Acetone, Thinners etc.

ReadySeal

DESCRIPTION
ReadySeal is a BBA Certified one component silane-terminated polyether Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. Suitable for use as a roof waterproofing membrane on warm, cold, inverted and green roofs in flat roof, pitched roof, roof terrace, podium deck, balcony* and walkway* applications including protected zero fall specifications. When used as part of a roof system classified under BS EN 13501-5 ReadySeal achieves Broof(t4), contact Radmat Building Products for certification information and build-ups. Plasticiser, cyanate, and solvent free, ReadySeal has a BBA assessed service life of in excess of 30 years.

G120 Reinforcement Fleece

DESCRIPTION
Radmat G120 Reinforcement Fleece is a reinforcement fleece for use with ParaFlex FD Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane.

APPLICATION
Embed reinforcement fleece into ParaFlex FD immediately after the first coat, ensuring a smooth application by carefully using a soft brush. Ensure each roll of Fleece overlaps the previous by at least 75mm. Installation to be according to guidelines and specifications supplied by Radmat Building Products Ltd.

ParaFlex-FV Mastic_featured

ParaFlex FV Mastic

DESCRIPTION
ParaFlex FV Mastic is a one component fibre-reinforced MS-Polymer for the sealing of difficult and inaccessible roof details and connections. An additional mat reinforcement is not necessary.

ParaFlex FV Mastic is non-fading and UV-stable and therefore resistant to aging and also flexible at low temperatures. The material is one component and therefore more economical.

ParaFlex FV Mastic is used for repairs to all connections and penetrations on roofs and similar components that can only be reached with great difficulty and are made with fleece-reinforced liquid applied waterproofing membranes.

APPLICATION

ParaFlex FV Mastic adheres to almost any surface and the connections are permanently waterproof. Exceptions are substrates made of PE, PP, TPO, FPO, silicone and Teflon.

The substrate must be clean and dry, free of oil and grease, and prepared with ParaFlex Cleaner.

ParaFlex FV Mastic should be stored and applied at between +15°C to +25°C, and applied to a substrate that has a surface temperature of between +5°C to +35°C.

Fire resistance
Flammable material class B2.

Resistance to spreading fire and reading heat to DIN 4102-1 and EN 1187.

ParaFlex-Topsiegel_featured

ParaFlex Topsiegel

DESCRIPTION
ParaFlex Topsiegel is used to enhance the appearance and modify the colour of ParaFlex sealants used on flat roofs. ParaFlex Topsiegel also removes the residual tack which forms on surfaces during the ParaFlex Topsiegel curing process.

ParaFlex Topsiegel is based on a polyurethane prepolymer and is resistant to dilute acids, alkaline solutions and all weathering influences. It also provides adequate protection against alkalinity (if concrete is also laid over the coating).

Seals improved by ParaFlex Topsiegel remain clean and are easily cleaned if necessary. In the case of light colour shades, surface heating through reflection is minimised.

ParaFlex Topsiegel is UV-stabilised and therefore resistant to ageing, resistant to spreading fire and radiant heat.

APPLICATION
ParaFlex Topsiegel is a single-component product and hardens with exposure to air. The material may be used straight from the container and is therefore economical to use even on small areas.

Rainproof after approx. 30 min. Walkable after approx. 5 hrs and able to take all loads after 7 days. With special paints depends on amount of crosslinking agent added (10 – 30 g/kg).

ParaFlex-Universal-Primer

ParaFlex Universal Primer

DESCRIPTION

ParaFlex Universal Primer is a multi-purpose primer for use with ParaFlex FD, Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. Consisting of a 1-component Polyurethane pre-polymer elastomer with aromatic + IPDA cross linking agents ParaFlex Universal Primer can be used on virtually any substrate, and offers adequate protection against alkalinity.

ParaFlex Universal Primer hardens with exposure to air making it particularly economical to use. The addition of cross linking agent ensures rapid curing even at low temperatures.

Contains solvents.

APPLICATION

Tests should generally be made on curing and adhesion to the substrate.

The surface to be primed must be dry, free from dust, grease or oil, and have good adhesion and load-bearing properties.

The primer should be applied as a sealed film with blanket coverage and in principle should be sprinkled with quartz sand of grain size 0.3 to 0.7 mm or 0.4 to 0.8 mm.

Curing time: ParaFlex FD can be applied after approx. 15 – 60 minutes (depending on temperature).

DESCRIPTION
ParaFlex Polyester Fleece is a special polyester mesh fabric that helps regulate layer thickness of the ParaFlex FD Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane and improves the cured breaking strength.

The sewn-in polyester mesh provides good directional stability, ensuring no changes in length occur during application and cuts can be prepared with precision.

In addition to its excellent technical properties, ParaFlex polyester mesh fabric is quickly and completely impregnation capacity during use, enabling it to fit tightly at upstands and transitions.

APPLICATION
Unroll into first layer of ParaFlex FD Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane on flat areas prior to application of 2nd coat.

Saturate prior to application on upstands.

Curing time: ParaFlex FD can be applied after approx. 15 – 60 minutes (depending on temperature).

ParaFlex FD

DESCRIPTION
ParaFlex FD is a UV stable, cold, Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane suitable for many roof types: flat, sloping roof and complex roof shapes such as cupolas and barrel roofs. ParaFlex FD is also used to waterproof vertical surfaces.

ParaFlex FD is also used for waterproofing junctions and roof openings such as ventilation and pipe openings, supports and structures, lighting domes and chimneys,balcony doors and windows, and for a variety of applications which are very costly to seal by conventional sealing methods or cannot be sealed at all.

With the correct primers, ParaFlex FD adheres to almost any substrate and the attachments are made permanently waterproof. Combination with most bitumen and plastic roof sealing sheeting is also excellent.

The material basis of ParaFlex FD is unsaturated polyester elastomer with a polyester fabric reinforcement that determines the breaking strength and elongation at break and provides for even layer thickness.

APPLICATION
ParaFlex FD is a Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane that must be installed according to guidelines given by Radmat Building Products Ltd. Rolls of polyester reinforcement are overlapped by 50mm. All other component material overlaps are determined by application but should not be less than 100mm.
