Insta Stik 750ml handy size

DESCRIPTION
Insta StikTM roofing adhesive for professionals has been developed for the attachment of insulation boards to a variety of substrates on flat roofs. Insta Stik is offered as a portable, disposable pressurised container requiring no external power source. It is a cold applied system that is, quick, easy to use and provides fast adhesion within 20–45 minutes.

Insta Stik Roofing Adhesive 750ml meets the roofers need for a highly portable version for the fixing of rigid insulation boards on smaller commercial and residential roofs.

Under Part L of the building regulations it is now a requirement to upgrade the existing insulation to the current standards when replacing or renewing the waterproofing layer. Insta Stik 750ml Roofing Adhesive will bond up to 14m2 of roof insulation board (based on 19-25 mm beads at 300mm centres).

For a comprehensive NBS J31 specification contact Radmat Building Products.

APPLICATION
Insta Stik
is applied in beads to the underlying substrate prior to placing the insulation boards. Walking of the boards is required thereafter until the adhesive has “cured” (20- 45 minutes) to ensure good adhesion and level joints.

Coverage of Insta Stik is approximately 100m2 per tank based on a 19-25mm wide bead placed at 300mm centres. Insta Stik bead sizes and centres are determined by several factors including substrate type, board type height of roof and pressures exerted by wind force.

USAGE
Insta Stik roofing adhesive is compatible with the following insulation boards:

Glass tissue faced boards
Bituminous felt faced boards
Stonewool insulation
Extruded polystyrene boards
Cellular glass insulation boards

ReadySeal 2 part component blocker Primer

ReadySeal Blocker Primer

DESCRIPTION
ReadySeal Blocker Primer is a two-component primer that creates a barrier preventing bitumen oils from bleeding through into ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane, preventing discolouration and adhesion loss when overlaying new or old bitumen membranes.

ReadySeal Blocker Primer is also suitable for use as a primer for new or old PVC Single Ply Membranes, dry and partially cured concrete, steel, aluminium and lead.

Designed as a two-coat application when used as a bitumen blocker. All other applications may be suitable for single coat application depending on condition.

Uses:
• To prevent bleed the bleed through of the oils in Reinforced bitumen Membranes/Bitumen coatings.

• To create a key when overlaying PVC Single Ply Membranes

• To create a key to steel, aluminum and lead.

• To eliminate the risk of pin holing in ReadySeal when applying over damp concrete.

Certificates:
BBA Certification No. 20/5797.

APPLICATION
Always test the primer and top coat fully before proceeding. If the test results are satisfactory proceed to apply to the whole area.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any contaminants including dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae and efflorescence. The product is moisture tolerant when used on concrete.

Add part ‘B’ to Part ‘A’ using a jiffy mixer blade attached to a slow running electric drill. DO NOT mix by hand as this can lead to areas of uncured material. Once mixed the product MUST be used within 40 – 50 minutes @ 20ºC.

Transfer mixed product to a roller tray and apply evenly to the surface using a medium-pile simulated sheepskin roller. brush or squeegee. Apply at a rate of approximately 4m² / kg (at 200 microns thickness coating weight coverage will vary according to the texture, porosity and evenness of the surface).

When used as a Bitumen Blocker/Primer
Allow the first coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying a second coat. Allow the second coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying the ReadySeal Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membrane. Two coats must be applied to ensure the performance stated is met.

When used in all other stated applications
Allow the first coat to cure for a period of 12 hours before applying the ReadySeal.

ReadySeal Blocker Primer MUST be overlaid no later than 24 hours after application and should not be applied below 5ºC.

Cleaning of Equipment:
Remove as much product as possible before cleaning. Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with suitable solvents such as Acetone, Thinners etc.
