Coronavirus/Covid-19 Update 8th July 2020
All Radmat employees have now returned from ‘Furlough Leave’ and are working our normal business hours.
Impact on day-to-day business and operations
Office Function (sales, quotations, order processing, accounts)
Radmat Head Office in Market Harborough is now open with staff working from there on a rota basis to ensure compliance with social distancing. When not in the office employees are working from home.
Stocks
Radmat hold significant stocks at our numerous warehouses within the UK, and a significant proportion of our product sales are for products manufactured within the UK. Where products are imported suitable alternatives from UK sources have been established. Our warehouses remain open and are receiving deliveries.
Logistics & Delivery
Orders for deliveries to construction sites are back to pre-lockdown levels of efficiency. Delivery drivers all follow the most up to date Construction Leadership Council (CLC) site procedures.
Warehouses
Access to all warehouse facilities remains limited to staff employed at that location and Radmat employees only. Deliveries into the warehouse are still being accepted but drivers will not be allowed to enter the warehouses. Collections remain no longer possible at any warehouse.
Site Inspections
All our Site Quality Technicians (SQT’s) are back at work and following the most up to date Construction Leadership Council (CLC) site procedures and Government guidelines on travel and hygiene.
External Meetings
Employee are using Skype/Microsoft Teams/Google Hangout/Webex to hold meetings.
Face to face meetings can be held as long as they comply with Government guidelines and social distancing requirements.
Technical Support
Radmat Technical Support functions have always been home office based remote of Head Office.
Internal Meetings
No external visitors can enter any Radmat offices until further notice. Internal meetings will be held via Skype/Microsoft Teams/Google Hangout/Webex.
Travel
All travel on public transport follows Government guidelines. A company or private vehicle must be used to travel.
Training
The training centre is now accessible but all training remains on hold while we establish safe operational procedures.
