EshaPlan System

Single Ply Membrane

Single Ply Membranes for use as mechanically fastened or adhered roof waterproofing on flat or pitched roofs.  Suitable for refurbishment and new build applications.

EshaPlan membranes are BBA Certified for ‘in excess of 30 years’, can achieve a BRE Green Guide to Specification A+ ratings and incorporate factory recycled waste.

EshaPlan single ply membranes provide design freedom whilst achieving long term waterproofing integrity and high levels of environmental performance.

EshaPlan Overlay System

EshaPlan Overlay Systems provide an economic and quick way of improving the waterproofing of an existing building. They are installed over a suitably prepared existing roof surface, a Radmat Total Care survey is required to assess condition and suitability. Overlay Systems do not provide any thermal performance improvement, to achieve a thermal performance improvement see the Upgrade & New Build Systems.

APPLICATION

Suitable for refurbishment applications over a variety of existing waterproofing and deck types.

GENERAL

Fully bonded single ply systems offer aesthetically pleasing applications over a suitably prepared existing roof surface. Available in a range of colours and with or without a fleece backing. EshaPlan is BBA Certified to have a durability of ‘in excess of 30 years’.

WATERPROOFING

In Overlay systems a thin layer of thermal insulation is used to provide a level surface and a barrier between the EshaPlan and the existing roof system.

A choice of EshaPlan B or EshaPlan FB single ply membrane is then adhered to the overlay board using EshaBond CA or EshaBond PU adhesive. All overlaps are hot air welded.

APPLICATION

Suitable for refurbishment applications over a variety of existing waterproofing and deck types.

Mechanically fastened single ply Overlay systems offer speed of application over a suitably prepared existing roof surface, prolonging the life of the roof. They are most suited to metal and timber decks but can also be installed over concrete. EshaPlan is BBA Certified to have a durability of ‘in excess of 30 years’.

WATERPROOFING

In Overlay systems a thin layer of thermal insulation is used to provide a level surface and a barrier between the EshaPlan and the existing roof system.

A choice of EshaPlan B or EshaPlan FB single ply membrane is then adhered to the overlay board using EshaBond CA or EshaBond PU adhesive. All overlaps are hot air welded.

EshaPlan Upgrade Systems

EshaPlan Upgrade Systems provide an efficient way of improving the thermal efficiency of an existing building, reducing the annual heat energy costs. They are installed over a suitably prepared existing roof surface, a Radmat Total Care survey is required to assess condition and suitability.

In New build a Radmat Area Technical Manager will work with the specifier to develop a specification and consult on detail design, thermal calculations etc.

GENERAL

Fully bonded single ply systems offer aesthetically pleasing applicationswhen bonded to a thermal insulation or timber deck.  Available in a range of colours and with or without a fleece backing. EshaPlan is BBA Certified to have a durability of ‘in excess of 30 years’.

WATERPROOFING

A choice of EshaPlan B or EshaPlan FB single ply membrane is then adhered to the overlay board using EshaBond CA or EshaBond PU adhesive.  All overlaps are hot air welded.

INSULATION

ProTherm polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation to a thickness specified to achieve the U value (See Thermal calculation tab) manufactured from CFC and HCFC free grade of material to ensure zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential factor less than 5 and with a BRE Green Guide A rating. Either a uniform thickness as part of a sloping SUBSTRATE/GROWING MEDIUM or tapered to create the fall.

VAPOUR LAYER

EshaVap: polyethylene vapour control layer loose laid with taped joints. EshaBase SA Sand: Following an application of Esha SA Primer a self-adhesive sand faced vapour layer applied to lightweight timber, concrete or panel substrates.
EshaBase 2mm Alu SA: Following an application of Esha SA Primer a self-adhesive aluminum lined reinforced vapour layer applied to lightweight timber or panel substrates.
EshaBase 4.2mm Alu SA: Following an application of Esha SA Primer a self-adhesive aluminum lined reinforced vapour layer applied to lightweight metal decks
EshaBase Alu; Following an application of Esha Primer a reinforced aluminum lined vapour layer torch applied to a solid substrate.

UPSTANDS

Waterproofed with bonded or mechanically fastened EshaPlan membrane.

EshaPlan B is a glass fibre reinforced PVC-P membrane AND EshaPlan FB is a 1.5mm thick glass fleece reinforced PVC-P membrane.

Insulation options

In a Refurbishment Overlay System a thin ProTherm recovery board is laid over the existing roof to isolate the EshaPlan from the existing waterproofing and to provide a level surface.

Roof Deck options
Structural concrete decks can be classified as either reinforced (cast in-situ), precast, pre-stressed or lightweight aerated.

Profiled metal deck can be made from steel or aluminium in a variety of thickness and profile.

Composite decks typically comprise an insulation board core sandwiched between factory laminated steel or timber sheet.

Timber decks can be manufactured from eith plywood or Oriented Strand Board (OSB).

ProLight rooflights are manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes with either extruded polycarbonate or flat glass tops.
